I was wondering if you could "rhino line" the skid plate? I'm trying to think of a way to stop the rusting on these.

best way ive found is to store it under the work bench. all 4 wags ive had, ive had to repair the frame rail where the s/p attached to it. all 4 times , ive re-hung the tank and not the s/p. never had any problems. if you arent rock crawling....

Like Andy mentioned when the skid plate rusts it will make the gas tank sag which in turn causes frame damage(stupid engineers.) I have found some places that make frame repair kits for this. Check your frame though for sure. Since its metal I would see no problem in doing the rhino lining on it. Good luck.

I drilled a few extra drain holes in my skid plate and two in the lower rail. Then I painted with POR 15 and topcoated it and the frame rail(s). Check your lines in the rail before you coat it and put the tank back up.

The jeep I might be getting it is in good shape. If I take it out I'm gonna go with the Bronco tank like Riverbeast.
