Ok, I have had it. :( Just installed my new mech fuel pump 4 days ago and checked the flow. She pumped like a big dog! No more hard cold starts for me, right? WRONG!
Today, I go out and fire ol 'Zilla up and crank, crank, crank, crank...etc...start. Looking at the clear filter for flow rate I see fuel is barely flowing throught the filter. The beast runs when it starts and runs well, but the flow is NOT what it was when I first installed the pump.
Question: How hard is it to install an electronic pump, and what rig can I pull one off of that will work with my 360? Junkyard picking is the key here as new pumps are too much $$ for me at the moment.
Thanks for the help!
Mike

i am thinking its your accelerator pump. as the carb hols fuel in it. if the carb ahs fuel in it you can start the engine with no fuel pump at all. Take the air cleaner off, look downt he carb and move the throttle linkage. You should see 2 jets of fuell squirt in. If you dont, either your carb is leaking somewhere, or the accelerator pump is shot.

Mine does the same thing, I get the squirts of fuel...but I still have to crank like crazy to get her to start after sitting a few days.
