Gas Tank in spare tire area????

I've had it with my gas tank. Want to put one in the spare tire area. there was one on here a little while back that came from a bronco doner I beleive an 85' or so. Had pics. Does anyone remember the link? Also what do you about asending unit & gague

If I remember correctly, and others know far more about this than I do, but the Bronco tank is quite tall requiring some body lift to fit it correctly - don't want it hanging too low or it will snag on every obstacle. Other than that, it sounded/looked like a fairly straight forward install.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that River Beast used a similar tank, but can't swear to it. I'm sure there are several others also that will respond in time. :rolleyes:

RB has the bronco tank. there are a couple of other options you can use also. there are tanks designed to fit into that spare tire area. you maybe able to pick up a good used one from another member. post that in the wanted section. -OR- if you are loaded with money, you can buy a brand spanking new one from here:

As stated... the only con to the Bronco tanks is the depth... the 25 gallon model is 12" and the 33 gallon which I have is 15" deep... so without any lift at all.. it does hang a bit low.. and the 3" bodylift does hide about 3" of the tank...

I'm sure there are other tank out there that can be retrofitted to the FSJ.... measurements are the key to a good fit.....I was after capacity....not clearance...
