Ok i bought this 69 wagoneer, with a Buick 350,and I grenaded the stock T-15 tranny. I was told to upgrade to a Jeep T-18. I found the right tranny but the input shaft on the T-18 is about a 1/4 of an inch longer than the T-15. Also the bellhousing that came off of the T-18 is for the AMC 360 and its a 1/4 of an inch longer than my BOP bellhousing. The AMC 360 bellhousing is a Two piece bellhousing and mine is One! I'm worried that if i get my bell housing to work and install the tranny the input shaft will hit the crank shaft. Help! If its not one thing its another. What do you guys think i should do? Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I dont really understand what your question is but I do know that the input shaft had better hit the crank or else you're not going anywhere. That little pointed shinny end of the input shaft has to fit inside the pilot bushing of the crank or it will not be supported and crash really fast. I think you should be able to cut the input tip a 1/4 inch without it being a problem though.

Ok, your right the input is supposed to insert into the crank shaft but not all the way in! I guess my question is Should I make a 1/4 inch space plate to make my bellhousing the right length or shoud i try and find a different bellhouing?
