Hello all, I just joined the site and am looking for some advice. I have a 89 grand wagoneer with electric rear window. have pulled and tested motor it is good. I will replace rear switches next. The question I have is when i took the regulator out of the door and then took the motor off. I did not feel the tention everone was talking about. I can move the regulator up and down by hand. It only has one spring big coil spring on the arm. There is a mount for a second one Should there be two? and should I feel tention when I move the regulator up and down by hand? the gears and every thing seem good. I have no Idea if I need a new regulator or not.
Plese help.

thanks

i think there is only tension on the regulator if the weight of the glass is there. correct me if im wrong. i know on the manual regulators there are two big springs that help push the window up when cranking i cant remember if the electric regulator have these or not. hope this helps.
