Been counting my leaks today and many many is the count. Some might be solved with a gasket (tranny fluid pa) but others I'm not sure so, as ever, I ask for help, please.
Before you ask, I don't have a cam or I'd be under there with it right now offering technicolor versions of this diatribe....it'd save you and me eyes!
First one - Toward the front end of the vehicle, above the tranny pan, there are three 'ins' into the the transfer case. The one nearest the seal between the pan and the case itself, I believe, has a 'unit' that I think (lots of thinking here) has the modulator attached (this unit has a modulator plugged in which leads to a hose which leads to a metal pipe that enters the back of the engine at the top?!@#$). The unit I refer to is held onto the side of the case by a small metal plate that could, in a weird way, double as a bottle opener! There is tranny fluid leaking from between this unit and the case. This unit , even with the bolted bottle opener, can me moved and clearly leaks..
Second one - above this modulator(?) plus unit are two brass connectors that have fluid going to the 'little' radiator at front of vehicle or the main radiator (I'm guessing in/out). The lower of these two is leaking - I'm uncertain whether at the case or screw thread however as the brass thing 'moves' when wiggled, I suspect at the case.
Third - Last one for this post but there are more...the steering fluid black container leaks from the bottom connector either between the container and large nut or somewhere else.
So my question is...do I need seals, o rings, sky hooks, stripey paint or some other solution.
