rear brake line replacement

I've got the tank out of my 86gw and the brake line is somewhat rusty. What is the best way to replace.......complete line or splice part way back? Thanks for any help!

i would replace the whole thing. you can piece it with pre made pieces and unions from a parts place.if so, then get one with the right connector for the proportioning valve. brake lines are cheap, i wouldnt repair them, besides you would need a flare tool. a compression fitting wont handle the pressure. secure the line to the frame rail in several places,esp on both sides of a bend. a good stomp on the pedal will straighten out an un secured brake line. good luck
