Well, i took the grill off. PLASTIC????
traced and felt all my lighting wires for cracks. repaired a couple, snipped some fog light wires and taped it all up.
I "cleaned" my rad. of small rocks, and fixed them to the best of my 2hr ability.
Couldn't find any arc points or burnt rubber.
skipped the engine, went to my dash.
removed instrument cluster, speedo cable (PLASTIC???), and heater pull-line.
got a GOOD look @ the carnage. oh man. I must have a couple of horseshoes up my a**!!! my head light switch.... looked ...uh.. bad
took it out. the female plastic plug was CRISPY!! MeLtDoWn!!!
and the switch looked partially imploded.
is anyone familar with the wiring? cause theres 7 prongs.
and in order to trace my problem easier, i would like to know where the wire that really fried goes. seems to go deep towards the right side of engine and its a double-white wire(s).
My book has lots of wiring diagrams, but the 85GWag is scanned or something. most ofthe letters are about 1/2 Milimeter, and un-readable.
So if i could seeall the wires, i might make sense of the book, not now. and by my estimates, you'd need a tester with about 30 feet of wire..
lmao and my brakes still turn on my head lights.. maybe if one guy is doing the saftey, he won't notice when the headlight switch and brake pedal do the same thing (after i wire my h/light switch to brake switch.. )
