Catfish, I used Scout II lift springs (3") and swapped the Scout mainleaf with the Jeep mainleaf (for proper bushings) added a 3" block in the rear, longer shocks and brake lines and walla....

Tires are 33X12.50 and rims are 15X10 - no rub even when wheelin'. This combo with a 2" body will easily make room for 35".
btw, your '65 and my '71 have the same suspension so this can be duplicated on your rig. Good luck and if you have questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Josh, what year scout II springs did you use, do you remember? Did you consider flipping the rear shackle to get rid of the rear lift block?
I've got a 73 J-2000 and am searching for options.

I've got a 73 J-2000 and am searching for options.Scout II's should all be the same ('73-'80). Yes, I did consider flipping the shackle. I knew that my pinion angle would change and I'd have to remove and reweld the spring pads. The 3" block was going to be temporary, but since I've had no problems with it, I plan on leaving it. At the time, I had a lot to do on the Jeep to get it reading for Ouray 2002, and the block was faster than flipping the shackle and resetting the pinion angle. If I ever swap to 3/4 ton axles, I'll eliminate the block then.
