Saw a big rad (475 c.u.) today at the boneyard. It's out of a '77 Dodge and it's a Chrysler rad with cool enclosed shroud.
4-core, great shape as far as looks go.
Rough specs (tape measure) shows a match for my bracket widths.
Looks like it's a few inches taller to I'd have to sink it/center it to existing fan.
They want $75 for rad and shroud.
Another 75 to rod it out/leak test/flush at a rad shop?
This might be plan B for me, what do you all think?
To big for my new Milodon water pump, or just right?
Appreciate any opinions, thanks--Brent
(Currently have a 3-core Transpro that's 375 c.u.)

Be sure to look at fins on radiator to make sure they are not loose and there are no signs of leaks in the core. These are signs of (rot).

Well I think I'm gonna wrench it off. It's huge. A rad guy can rod if need be and definitetly pressure test it. If I come out $150 total for a good Chrysler 4-core, then GREAT. Boneyard will warranty it for 30 days, the rad guy for 90.
My only other option ($$) is the new 4-core cheapie (375 sq in)for 174 straight from the factory.

I would look into getting an aluminum radiator from summit with 2 1" rows which cool better then normal 4 core brass/copper radiators.
They run around $170.
This is the one I plan on using to cool my caddy 500:
