OK,,,How do I clean out the gas tank ?????

I'm having a problem with fuel delivery,I pull the tank and find a clogged line.I open the plate,the one with the supply tube and return tube,and find a MASS of crud.Looks like something has partially disolved in the tank.It's stuck like a sheet on all surfaces I can see.With much effort and a screwdriver I can scrape a few pieces from the corners.The biggest piece looks like part of a steering wheel cover.(Don't ask,I have no idea).

I have pulled tanks from 2 parts Wags,both are dirty,although with different crud,probably old gas.I can't use any the way they are.

Someone,somewhere,has cleaned a gas tank.

Sounds like kids were stuffing things down the filler-tube…

For mine, I just ran the hose in it until clear water flowed out. Then after installing it in the jeep I poured HEET in the tank to get rid of any excess water.

POR-15 makes a product to seal and clean you gas tank.
