working on solving what looks to be a rear driveline noise problem caused by the angle of the driveline between xfer case and pinion.

i was thinking that i could remove the rear driveshaft, put wag into 4H and drive it on the front driveshaft to confirm or deny that the problem is in the rear.

any issues with the xfer case/front driveline by doing this?

input appreicated

Hey,I would say not to drive it on your front axle.I ve heard that Q before here, and the answer was dont do it.as far as the angle goes,Did you block the rear,or add leafs? My expereince with my wag is this.I got soa up front.3" block in rear(tapered a half inch)I added 3 leafs, and dropped my transfer case 1 and a half inches. And have no vibration.

I put a jack in the middle of thex member, unbolted the 4 bolts, mine is an 80,yours should be the same.Make sure it is on level grould though. Then I just lovered the jack an inch and a half, drilled out new holes, bolted it back up.I also losten your front motor mounts prior. Its benn about a month,so far and no problems yet.My first wag,was a 69 so if you need any info on parts interchangability let me know.you got a good wag their, wish i still had mine here over my 80 wag.but it happens
