almost there, need help though

I've got my manifold and 4350 carb back on, but it won't stay going. I prime the carb with alittle fuel down the throat, but it starts, then quits right off. I'm guessing it's not getting fuel. I'm hopeing I have the fuel line hooked up to the right port. does it go it the top side port, or the front mid port? i have it on the front. if thats the right place, why would it not stay running?

ps, there should be fuel going to it from the pump cause I used a vacuum pump to pull it up from the tank to give it a head start.

Errr... can't remember. mine's getting a fuel system rebuild as we speak (?). When it gets home tomorrow, I can take a look-see.
