any body know where to get the box that you heater core goes in. the bottom of mine next to the motor was missing when i bought the truck.

mine had most of one side busted out when the po changed the motor. i took nylon screen and spread bondo on it then bondoed it on the plastic box then i painted it black and no one would no the difference.

i just patched mine with a piece of flashing, some jb weld and pop rivets.

thanks, i thought about that, but i wasnt sure it would hold up. just trying to get ready for winter.

Just go to the junkyard and get one, simple to change. smile.gif

Don't ask how I know, but this is one case where duct tape SHOULDN'T be used to fix it ;) It starts to melt and makes nice fumes in the cab that may make you... well... ah... feel happier then you should be :D
Patch it up with some metal or get a used one from someone here or a junk yard... The older ones are made from metal smile.gif

You could fiberglass it also.

I used a little fiberglass patch. I didn't even need to make it very pretty because noone can see it, anyway. If you aren't careful, it gets broken when you remove or replace the motor.

look for an earlier model at a junk yard. Theyre made of metal not fiber..............phil
