Hey guys, I'm running a spring over with stock springs and a drop pitman on the front and still have considerable bump steer. I just replaced the tie rod, drag link and stabilizer and went to the alignment shop. I still have problems when I hit ruts and bumps. I'm running 35x14.5 Mickey Thompsons bajas at 20psi. If my alignment is in spec, what else could be causing it?
Also, how much help would a z-bar be?

I would suggest looking at River Beats's site and check out his high-steer converion. Sounds like you have too much angle on the drag link. I would not suggest a z-bar, as that can lead to some pretty vague driving characteristics.

NO Z-BAR!!!!!

BAD wandering with a z-bar.

Your draglink needs to be as close to parallel with the main tierod at possible....this will just about eliminate any bump steer... if you are close to paralell... you are prolly feeling the affects of the monster Mickeys grabbing the road... get used to it... My Swampers grab the tiniest cracks in the road and gerk me around a bit... I got used to it... here'an ilustration of the front end up close:
High Cross-Over Steering (http://albums.photopoint.com/j/ViewPhoto?u=1388365&a=12142173&p=44051914&f=0)

This about 80% weight on the front axle.. on the ground it is maybe 1 degree angled

A DPA does not offer near enough correction for a SOA. I too have an SOA with only a DPA for steering correctin (until I can afford to do the cross over thing), and the bumpsteer is definatly noticable. So in short, probably the only way your going to get rid of it is to do the cross-over thing like River Beast has in that pic above.

Thanks, I was hoping I wouldn't have to do the cross over steering.

i just recived my rosser catalog and they show "the k link" whitch is said to remove bump steer to the closest to cero that it can get it is only 489.95

i prob will prefer the cross over steering
