I have a rear wiper motor from a '90 GW that is broken. I don't know if it has all of the original parts or not. What is still there is the motor itself, splined shaft for wiper blade, and gears that connect the two. The wiring tabs are broken and disconnected and the black plastic cover is missing. Does someone have a wiper motor that they could please take a digital photo of the insides so that I can see how it's supposed to be wired up? I have digital photos to show the condition of mine if someone can help me sort out how to get it repaired. Thanks a lot in advance.

90 Woody,
The rear wiper motor seems to be a common "broken" piece with Wags. I know many of us have them in the same non-functioning condition. I too have several pieces of a rear wiper motor to tinker with. To my knowledge there isn't a replacement for that yet. I also know many Waq owners have tried different wiper motors from various mini vans, small wagons, etc. I'm not sure if anyone has come up with a working replacement motor or replacement parts yet. You may very well be the person who comes up with the answer! If so let me know, too! Good luck on your search.

Dear jharte/Jerry H.

Thanks for your reply. Can you possibly take digital photos of what you have left so we can compare notes? I am confident that if I had a working unit to look at I could rebuild mine. All the moving parts are there and functional. I just need to get the electronic interfacing set up right.

I am looking into the possiblity of converting an XJ motor. From the '90 Jeep Factory Service manual it looks like the motor and gear are similar. Maybe I can combine pieces to get something to work. Anybody else have experience with this?
