258 to 360

I'm swapping a 360 into my J-10 the 1st problem is the motor mounts, I thought I could unbolt and switch them but they are welded in. Is there another way , like conversion mounts or do I have to cut them off the frame??

Rick, as far as I know you gotta remove the existing mounts and bolt in a set of new mounts. Advance Adapters (http://www.advanceadapters.com) makes the mounts your looking for. (You gotta have Adobe Acrobat to download the catalog though) Advance adapters lists the part number you need as #713120 with a price of $163.92 USD. You may also want to think about upgrading your cooling system and/or adding headers along with the install. Best of luck, keep us posted!

I do believe that cutting the towers of the frame is the only way. You will need towers from a V8 equipped rig, as well as driveshafts ECT. ECT. Good Luck ;)
