View Full Version : I need these parts, do ya'll have a source?
I would like to seal the doors and windows as quickly as possible. The Gulf Coast gets a lot of rain which will accelerate the deterioration of my Jeep plus it rattles.
Where can I find window channel felt, scrapers, door seals ect?

I just ordered a universal door seal from J C Whittney. They also have belt wearterstrippihg (on the inner and outer sides of the window). I didnt get them yet but ill keep you informed as to the fit. I have the part numbers.

For the door seals this is where I am going to buy and make mine.

Do a search at the sight on.... Compression door gaskits.
Pull down the bar on the left after it finds it. Then click on ...+ Compression door gaskets.
This should take you to page 3065 in the catilog. You can buy by the foot!
I hope this helps.

I can attest that the FSJ does not come from the same universe as JCW's door weatherstripping...

Hey Larry,
I checked out the McMaster site and there stuff looks real good and reasonable. Please post how it works out when you do it.

As far as inner and outer felt/scrapers go you can still get them from your dealer. The local guy may have to search his computer for another dealer farther away but should be able to order them for you. They are a bit pricey but you do get a nice factory fit. (My jeep is my only vehicle and it is in near new condition so I'm a little more willing to go the more expensive route to keep it original.) Others on the forum may have a less expensive way to go, good luck.
