I need some NP228 questions answered quick!

When running it in 4HI, can it be driven on pavement everyday the same as having it in 2HI?

Does it consume extra gas? If so, how much? :confused:

yes and yes.the owners manual says to put it in 4wheel once the snow flies and keep 'em there til mud season's over. it will slightly decrease the mpg, but it will handle better. my brother's in-laws had problems with the shifter on their 85 wag. they kept it in 4 wheel for the 3 yrs they had it.
