gas tank/skidplate ?????

I'm in the middle of removing rusted out plate. What holds the tank in other than the skidplate???How in the heck do you get the front inside bolt off!! Can't get to the backside to hold it! Any help is much appreciated!!!!!

the front ( near transfer case) inside bolt only holds the gas tank strap to the skid plate. You don't need to remove it to get the tank out. The tank is strapped to the skid plate front and rear and the skid plate is attached to the truck. The tank however has a molded shape that fits in the frame rails too so it won't jsut fall down. Support it with a jack and a piece of 2x4 to disperse teh weight, jiggle it around and lower it down.
