what gears are in it,and what do you expect of it? im currently using 3.31 gears with 38s and an auto tranny. i regularly get passed by kids on skateboards and old ladies in wheelchairs, tho, when i drive it on the street http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/biggrin.gif
do you want quick acclelration,or lower cruising rpm on the highway?

I hate them old lady's in the wheel chairs! Especially the one's with the oxygen, they always beat me!
I am running 3.54 with 32's but that will change soon. I get off the line pretty good and I run about 2200 rpm on the highway.

I run 4.10's with 33's and am turning 3400 to 3500 at 60. If this was a daily driver I would prolly drop to 3.73's. Its is a whole lotta fun when you punch it though!
My brother has 33's on his Bronco with 3.50 gears and absolutely hates it. The poor ol 302 will not pull him down the highway in 5 (o.d.)gear unless he gets up to 75 then shifts and then has a hard time maintaining 65 on a downhill run. He needs more gear, as he is really bummin when we go offroad sand hill climbing.

If I have my info right, I believe if a Wagoneer didn't have the towing pkg., you'd get 2.73 gears. If with the towing pkg., 3.31's.

There's a tag bolted on with the dif cover that tells the gear ratio. The gearing is on the lower right portion of the tag, if I remember correctly. That's with your head held sideways, you'll see what I mean http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/smile.gif
