I HAVE A 74 J10 WITH D44S ON THE REAR AND DRUM BRAKES I ALSO HAVE A 83 J-10 WITH A D44 UP FRONT WITH DISKS. IS THERE ANY WAY TO PUT THE DISKS FROM THE 1983 FRONT TO THE 1974 REAR?

Nope not directly. You gotta get the kit! They are on ebay and Jeepbounthunter as a nice set. The caliper mounts on the front have 6 mounting bolts and the rear are 4.
