What dual stabilizer are you using and how is it mounted to the axle. I can see from the pic where it is mounted on the tie rod. Thanks!

It is a rancho system. I am not really sure of the part number since it was given to me for free. It came from a Chevy truck. It mounts to the axle the same way it mounts to the drag link, with u-bolts. It is a big improvement over the single especially with the 35's.

It's about a $90 setup

WOW! Good thing I got mine for free or I never would have had it.

I want to run my Mickey's again so I'll probably fork out the $90. Thanks again guys.

Hey River Beast, do all chero's come with a steering stabilizer? My 77 chief does not have one???

If one is purchased from Rancho, do they have the mounting kits, (if there is one) available? Will one from a Cheby fit on a Jeep?

Thanks for any info.

TN Hunter,

You should have had one at one time... look for a mounting plate between the perch and leaf pack.

The dual stabilzer setups are universal and will work on the FSJ... Like PC said, U-bolts hold to the main tierod and large u-bolts to the axle tube.

I NEED a dual, but only run a single right now.

FYI--- stablizers.. unlike shocks work the same in BOTH directions. So it doesn't matter which orientation you have them... either one on each side or doubled up on one side.

On the FSJ... I recommend doubling up on one side as not cause a clearance issue with the front of the diff.

I built my own dual stabilizer setup. I was able to flip the ubolts and mount the dual stabilizers at the same time. I probably cost me about $30 in materials: two u-bolts, two plates, assorted extras and one small weld. Of course, this does not include the extra stabilizer. It leaves the factory stabilizer in the stock position and mounts the second up higher. I could take a picture or to and put down more details and send it out to you in the next day or so if you'd like. (I'm pressed for time @ the moment). I didn't feel the need for duals until 35's, and I think it helped quite a bit.
