I had purchased a rebuild kit for my carb, but got a new carb from a fellow fsjer. Are the appropriate gaskets in the rebuild kit for installing the carb. There is a large flat cardboard gasket with what looks like grommets for the studs to go through. Then I have the original plastic deally, and the kit came with a new cardboard spacer. Should there be any real thin gaskets or are the three items listed all i need to seal it up on the intake?

If we're talking 2150 carb then there should be a "thin" regular gasket that goes between the manifold and the spacer. Then the THICK one goes between the spacer and the carb.

The carb arrived OK? There weren't any gaskets that I remember when I took it off. I thought it was funny that there weren't any but you can never guess what a DSPO has done. :D
PS: I need to go to Walmart, I'm out of bags! :D

Hehe, thanks for the info Dave. Looks like I need to pick up a thin gasket then. The carb looks great, moving parts are all in much better order than the one that was on the Jeep, not to mention 4 mounting points smile.gif ! Would you like me to ship back a few of the Walmart bags? I kept ripping and ripping, felt like getting to the center of a tootsie pop!

Thanks for all your help Dave. I would think the check will be there tomorrow or Friday.
