Guys;
My vent duct pull controls,on either side of the steering column, are stuck.Already busted the plastic retainer, holding the pull knob to the mount, on one side. What's the best/easiest way to free these up? I hope I don't have to tear apart half of the underside of the dash to get at the problem. What do you say guys? Can you help me out? My beasty is an '87 GW.
Sincerely,
Fitron74

THE FIRST THING TO DO IS, TRY WD-40 AT THE DASH. THE BROKEN KNOB,USE A PAIR OF PLIERS..SPRAY AND WORK THEM BACK AND FORTH TRY THAT!! smile.gif smile.gif YOU'RE NORTH OF PITTSBURGH....RIGHT!! :cool: :cool:

I had the passenger side pull break several years ago when the dash was removed for major body repairs. As I recall the pull is just connected to cables that run under the dash to the vent doors. Mine was broken where the pull connects to the cable. I was too lazy to fix it because I found that a long screwdriver can be used to open up the vent door. I just open it when summer comes and close it again in the fall.
