I think I can get a dana 60 rear axle to convert my J-10 to a J-20, now, do I need to get a different front axle too or can I get replace some stuff on my 44 to make it the heavy duty 3/4 ton version?

Thanks a lot,
Anthony

The J20 is the same as yours from the knuckles in (spindle too). I noticed the caliper bracket located the caliper different than the j10, wagonner front. But all you would need is the outers of a GM front 3/4 ton and your in business.

So I need to get everything from the knuckle out from a chevy 3/4 ton, dana 44 right?, then just buy brakes for a J-20? I'm gonna have to redo everything on the brakes anyway.

Thanks,
Anthony

All you need is the 8-lug rotors and hub assembly. I think the bearings are the same. Also, the brakes are identical. I re-used my J-10's braking system on the Dana44HD I bought.
