Ball joint torque

I tightened the upper ball joint to 100lbs, but the lower ball joint starts to spin before I get to 75 lbs. These are the specs in my haynes manual. I had the joints pressed in at a machine shop today so I hope they are ok. Any suggestions

Never mind I had the sleeve too far in. Next step to rebuilding my first frontend!!!!!

man, you're way ahead of me......

still, doing it yourself beats the $550 quote i got for replacing the axle u-joints and spindle bearings!

If you think you are going to do ball-joints again, I would buy a 3-in -1 kit and press them yourself. I bought one from Harbor Freight. It is no OTC brand but I have not broken it yet!
