throttle cable

Wow how do i get the throttle cable and transmission kick down to work with the edelbrock 1406 carb ?

Don't know about the kickdown, but I had to buy an adjustable bracket when I went to the 1407 in my 73. It bolts to the left rear mounting bolt of the carb.

there is a small flat bar adapter that bolts onto the 2 mount posts just behind the carb on the d-side. you need this part to do this. don't recall the part # but i think there is a diagram in the instructions.

ok so is that mechanical linkage thing right below the throttle cable the transmission kick down thing ?

It is the TV linkage, it needs to be hooked up and adjusted correctly, or .............. You will be buying another trany. Eldelbrock makes the correct bracket for AMC, I do not seem to have the Part# anymore.
