I just finished the TFI upgrade. BIG improvement http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/biggrin.gif. And looks cool too. Wait till i put new wires on. still have a bad idle but that i think is carb related since i just replace every electrical component.
Costs:
New duraspark box: $0.00 Used a buddys receipt for his new one and exchanged mine saying it was defective.
new rotor:$4.50
NEW CAP:$16.00 (brass terminals)
junkyard used 8mm wires:$3.00 (hey they were mint condition new motorcraft wires)
junkyard cap base:$1.00
junkyard TFI coil and base:$6.00
Wow I switched back and forth between the Accell super coil(yellow can) and the junk yard TFI coil to see if there was a difference. Oh yea.
