Besides being a Jeep, I think that I found out one of my problems with my poor fuel mileage. I had to move the jeep about a foot last night, so I figured I would put in in neutral and push it. While I know these rigs are heavy, I'm 6'4 and about 250. I couldn't get the thing to move. It was on flat cement. My truck weighs in about the same as the jeep and no problem pushing that.

I have also noticed driving that as soon as I let off the gas, she doesn't coast, but slows down quickly.

I am going to look at the brakes to see if they are grabbing (wheel cylinders, etc.), although it doesn't pull to any one side when stopping.

Is there anything else I should check? (QT, bearings, etc.)

could be the brakes are too tight or the e-brake cable is bound up. if the brake hoses are original, one might be acting as a check valve and not letting the pressure relieve itself when the pedal is at rest.

Seeing that you have a QT... the drivetrain works both front and rear axles together.. ALL THE TIME... regardless of tranny gear selection... this means.. ANY variance in tire size and/or inflation pressure can cause resistance in the drivetrain...

The tires are new, same size, and inflated the same (Just checked).
