i have an 82 jeep j-10 and i have what i believe is the stock grill. it has square headlights with vertical slots all the way across to the headlights. is it possible to install the grills they used in the mid 60's to this body? if so can they still be purchased? what is the name of the grill they used in the mid '60's........ rhino? thanks for your help.
Very possible...Lots of guys..including myself have done grill swaps..Search the archives and you will find alot of information. Check the For Sale and Wanted sections and before long..you should be able to find a Rhino for your rig!

In the process of installing a Rhino in my '80 J10. There are a few differences that have to be dealt with, but nothing major.

I threw a Rhino set up on my 80 wag with the same grill you have. All I had to do was grind off a few mounting tabs, throw a spacer on the top center of the Rhino and get the round headlight bezels. Took me all of about 3 hours to do.
Not trying to be mean here djmac but there are tons of posts on how to do this if you search.
BTW, sig pic is an 85 front clip on a 70 body with a 78ish chero grill.
Take your time, do your math, minor fabs and it will be just fine

i have read some of the archives. but i do not quite understand whats involved in converting the sheetmetal on either side of the rhino grill. the razor runs from fender to fender but the rhino is just in the center with some sheet metal in between. plus i have a 460 ford with an oversize radiator and a/c coil. does this complicate things or can you assume if the razor fit the rhino will fit.
