Ok, I have a Buick 350 Dauntless in my ol'wag. At cruising rpm it purrs like a kitten but at idle it seeems to have a dead short now and then. Wiring is ok, plugs and plug wires are ok, dist. cap, rotor, and points ok. Interal distributor seems corroded like it had previously been damp,(wet),for a long period of time. Do you think I need a new distributor?, and what brand would be the best?
