My 90 GW went into the shop to get painted Monday. As I followed the wag from behind I noticed the front left of the vehicle sticks out a bit " like its been wrecked or something". I checked out the wag on carfax and everything checkd OK. Could it be its offcentered on the frame or maybe the leaf springs?? The rear does sag a bit. The wag is in great shape. Just needs a paint job and new wood panels. Painter quoted me 3250. Complete paint job and installation of wood panel. When I brought it in Monday, he called me back saying he forgot it was a FOUR DOOR and the price would go up to 4250. After the shock we agreed upon 4000. The wag will be ready in a week and 1/2. Any suggestions on this matter??

chances are if you'd have been sitting in the passenger seat of the car behind the wag, you would have noticed that the right front tire seems to stick out also...
this is b/c the front axle is wider than the rear axle. aids in turning radius, looks a bit suspect from behind tho.

I noticed this with mine a long time ago. I thought it had probably been hit as it looked like it was "crabbing". But then I looked at other GW's going down the road that looked like that too.

If a car is indeed "crabbing" though. It is usually just that the axle is not centered on one of the leaf springs.

The view through my rearview mirror is not down the center of the lane I'm driving in, it centers on the edge of the road about 300' back. It's gotta be dogtracking.

another possibility is if a bodylift was installed and the body not set on the frame mounts properly... just a thought... seen it...

My tires are wearing even. Firestone Wilderness with 40,000 miles without rotating them.
