Should I make one post with all my technical problems/questions or make a post for each of my problems/questions?
I'll start off with one and go from there...
Would a dealer be able to cut a key based on the VIN (85 Jeep GW) or would I have to replace the locks? The FSJ I just got has an ignition key and a partial door key. Which sucks because where I work is in an unfriendly area. I guess it could also be a good thing as I wouldn't have to replace any glass if anyone saw something they liked. But I guess if I wanted to carry something that someone would want more than I, I guess I could take the other ride.

Post multiple questions on one topic, but warn people by naming the topic something like "Big trouble, lots of Q's!" or something like that.
Oh, and your link to the said "Ride" doesnt work.

Put each question in a separate post with an appropriate subject header. Too many questions in one post and the thread gets either too long or ignored because the theme gets lost and confusing. You'd get more replies to specific probs rather than lumping them together.
Dealers not going to be any good to you. I don't know if you can get keyed alike lock cyl sets anymore with keys. BJ's I think sells the cylinders but you'd still need a lock smith to key them or to re-key your old ones.

Guess the real thing was that I wanted the key for the back glass, etc.

They are GM locks and keys. A locksmith can make one for the tailgate. I need a new cyl for my manual tailgate and I'll prolly just get one from BJ and before installing it get a key made.

I had door keys made at a locksmith..they pulled the lock cyl from my glovebox and it matches the doors and the tailgate...it was easier to pull that lock than to rip apart my doors...

I think the good limit to multi question topics should be 3... any more should go separate.... separate topics if they are to be detailed....
it's easier that way especailly for searching archives....

If you are fortunate enough to find a good locksmith in your area, he should be able to make keys for anything, without removing it from the vehicle..
I know a locksmith here, who is my hero and made me a key for my work truck when I lost the door key.. He charged around $20. Quite a deal I thought!
