new sending unit

well the new sending unit is in and working.ahhh to have a working gas gauge.no more guessing.all went smooth with tank drop and frame and lines behind gas tank look better than some of the exposed areas.thanks for input it helped.now on to next project.one question for the guys with spring lifts.am i going to have to drop tank again to put new 4"springs on?looks like maybe to get drivers rear spring bolt.if so wish i had them this weekend.

How much did it cost for the new sending unit? Where did you get it? TIA! M.G.

Try to remove that rear spring FIRST. Then you'll know if ya gotta drop the tank again. Some if us have a captive nut on the front of the rear spring, some are broken, and some are just unlucky enough to have to remove the darn tank, AGAIN!

i got the sending unit for 38.95 from a jeep parts dealer.he's got lots of parts for these trucks or he orders it for me.he was a factory dealer back in late 70's early 80's and still has stock left over.
