Im about thisclose to finally purchasing a lift kit. From what i have read the rough country 3" kit with all 4 springs gives a pretty rough ride. However when I was looking all of the kits up, it says it recently switched to "luxury ride technology" to give a better ride. Anyone used the kit since the change? Or is this just a marketing scam? I would go with the rusty's 4 inch kit, but from the other posts i have read anything over 3 inches needs extended brake lines, and a dropped pitman arm. I wont need these for the 3 inch kit, or will I? Thanks in advance.

If you plan on flexing at all, you will still need the extended lines. You may not have to extend your emergency brake cable however.
If you get the rough country, be sure to check the angle of the top leaf on the rear springs, it is almost ALWAYS put in backwards. Change it when you first get them, or you'll forget!!!
TW,
I hadn't heard about the new tech. The old tech does ride rough at least for the first 20,000miles or so. Mine is finally starting to soften up a bit, but it's still rough compared to others. The stiffness becomes an advantage on the trails, it keeps the max clearance avaiable. Of course that's trails for trucks with 3" lifts, not flexing over boulders.
Maybe their new technology is to run the springs for 20,000 miles then sell them.
I kept the same brake lines, exhaust, parking brake cable, pitman, etc. with the 3".

I have Rusty's lift. I haven't wheeled it yet, and have not replaced the brake lines or pitman arm yet. I do plan on doing the DPA sometime, but the bump steer is minimal as it is now. As for brake lines, not needed yet, but not wheeled either.

Just remember if you go w/ Rusty's have them keep the shocks and buy some Ranchos or the like.
