I am a new owner of an 84 GW and just got it through inpspection although a little costly because of frame rot. I also had it tuned up, MY PROBLEM is that I have had it for a couple of day and I it now has a large oil leak from around the distrubtor. Any ideas?

I believe that there is an o-ring in there. this could be leaking.

Had the same problem,Could be dist gasket, front of intake,or timing cover.Mine was the timing cover.Boo.When I removed the A/C compressor I was praying the gasket would hold. The rest is history.

My guess is that it is the Intake Manifold seal as 88WAG suggested. I had this leak on my 90GW until I pulled the manifold to install a new gasket and reseal it. Some of the bolts for the intake manifold had loosened to the point they were only finger tight. This seal and many others don't hold up well on this engine.
