I have an '82 Jeep J10 pick-up. However the only part thats Jeep is the body and chasis. It has a chevy 350, and a 350 turbo transmission also a 205 transfer case. The problem is I just had the tranny's rear output shaft changed to accomodate my transfer case, and for whatever reason it won't shift past 2nd gear. Everything is properly filled with fluid. And everything is hooked back up properly. It won't shift and it got extremely hot and began spraying fluid either from the overflow or from behind the t/c I can't tell which one. Could it just need to be run for awhile to get the fluid pumping properly or is it a much bigger problem? Help

remove the govner and see if the inside shaft moves when you squeeze the flyweights and make sure the teeth on the gear are good if you remove the dip stick and stick your finger in the dip stick tube does your finger get tranny fluid on it while the car is off the gov is under the round cover on the drivers side their might be a wire clip holding the cover on just pry it off then tap the cover off.....let me know what you find...........welcome to the board and let me know where the vac moudluator is on your trans (vacum hose)
