Hi all, I need specific advice/instruction on towing my '82 wag Limited with the 219 transfercase and with lo-range selector under the drivers seat. I have a sick 360 with a 727auto trans.I may need to toe long distance at a moderate highway speed. Any advice or warnings will be greatly appreciated.

If you have a nuetral on your transfer case you might be able to tow in N, but I'm not sure. Why not play it safe and remove both driveshafts? especially since your going a long distance. Don't forget to leave the steering column unlocked.

Pulling the driveshafts is the best way to go. I do that on my wag...

ill leave the rear shaft in if im only goin a short distance, but to make the 75 mile trip to go wheelin ill unlock front hubs, disconnect rear shaft from axle, and secure it to the bottom with a bungee cord.

if youre flat towing it a short distance with the shafts in,put tranny in park, xfer in N.
