Jeep has been sitting since feb or march. Started it up today. Runs fine. Checked oil. Dipstick was a little tough to get out. Once it came out, it was missing everything below add. Now it wont fully go down into the block. Is this a common mishap? Can I remove the dipstick tube and remove the rest of the dipstick? I she has some oil, there was some on the dipstick when I took it out the first time. I don't think the broken piece is affecting anything, oil pressure is normal and the engine runs fine. Any ideas?
Thanks
Aaron

you can get a new dipstick tube from performance american style ( performanceamstyle.com )

You could probably find a magnetic drain plug to capture the broken end if it fell into the pan. The oil pickup tube should have a screen on it so sucking up the broken peice probably isn't gonna happen.
