I noticed this morning that my oil pressure would drop to 0 for 10 or so seconds if I quickly changed lanes on the highway at 70mph. Even though it is cold, -1 or -2 F, the car was at operating temperature. Oil level is OK, I checked that. Could the cold be affecting an oil pressure sensor somewhere. What could this be? It's scary to see no oil pressure.

Seems unlikely to be a real loss of pressure if the oil level is ok. There's only one sensor - it's on the timing cover near the oil filter. Electric gauges react rather slowly, so a loss of connection for a few seconds might take several seconds to recover. I'd guess a loose wire. Pull the sending unit connector, clean, squeeze a little, replace and see if the problem goes away.

I am with "tgreese" a loose wire or maybe a bad sender. If it contiunes put an oil pressure guage on it. Drive it and see if a oil pressure actually drops, or if it is a sender of wiring issue.
