I just noticed this rig on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1869461576&rd=1

It's an 81 with 4 speed manual and locking hubs.
Can anyone hazzard a guess as to model no. and mfgr of the transmission and transfer case. Also, would this rig be an easy v8 swap candidate?

Thanks

I had an 81 J10 once with similar drive line. It was a 258 or 4.2 ltr, T18 with NP208 xfr case. Mine had 3.73 gears on D44s.

If a 4 Speed it is a T176 trans and NP208 T-Case, Could be a 5 spd, then it would be a T5 and NP208, unless it was swapped for a T18. T18 were not used in Wagoneers/Cheros/J10's after 79. T18/NP208 was only available in the J20 after 79 ;) The fact this Wagoneer came with a manual trans makes it unusual. Very nice rig! ;)
