Has anyone used the Superlift System 4" lift? Its labled for the 74-90 J-series, but wondered if it worked on Waggies and Cherokees. The year-span would imply this. Also, anyone ever used the skyjacker system: 3.5-4"? I am considering use on my '79 Cherokee, but am a little hesitant. These vehicles are heavy and 3.5-4 can sometimes turn into 1.5-2....Other suggestions would be appreciated.

I had the skyjacker on one of my cherokees, very nice if you go with all four springs.

Fornesto, skyjacker is one of the best. I like to think that our kit rivals it at 1/2 the cost. But, hands down, from what I have been told, the Skyjacker is the best of the best, and carries the price tag to go with it! Superlift makes really good parts, but their system gets really expensive. Do a search and see what people have said about our BJ's Off-Road kit and the Rusty's kits. We sell both, and stand behind both.

As for the 3.5-4 becoming 1.5-2, that won't happen with a good kit. Our kits are consistent with their 3.75-4" on the 4" kits. If your rig is currently sagging (as mine was), you can get 7+ inches of lift as I did.

I got one in 1994 from Superlift, at that time they only offered the front 4-inch replacement springs and an add-a-leaf with a 1 1/2-inch block in the rear with the dropped pitman arm included.

They also included 4 shocks, a steering stabilizer and stainless steel brake lines, along with all hardware, U-bolts, washers, nuts etc...

I can include a picture after ten years of use if you are interested. Not even beginning to sag yet, and the ride is bone jarring for washboard dirt roads, if you have a lot of these, look elsewhere!

As was mentioned above, the Superlift was top of the line, but I would rather have had the additional leaf springs in the rear as well, although she articulates pretty good as it is.

You a good 4-inchs of lift all the way around, but pretty expensive. Mine was $800 dollars...

I've not had a problem with the Superlift system and I've had it for at least 5-6 years. No sag noted. It rides pretty rough though. If you are lifting for height, maybe mud runing or something, it would work well for you. If you plan on doing trail riding and the like, I'd consider something more comfortable with some flex. I'll be switching to something else when I raise the funds. Maybe B.J.s, Shyjacker???...

Amen to "rough" for the Superlift. Mine is way to stiff.

I don't know about them being high quality either...but one thing I can say is that after owning this thing for over 4 years - there is no sign of sag in the springs.

i have only had my superlift since the end of june. bone jarring is absolutely correct. it's a stiff ride. but, after i'm on the road for awhile, i get used to it and don't notice it as much.
all in all, i'm satisfied with the lift. it also came with everything including drop pitman arm and shocks.
however, at that time, i wasn't aware that bj's offroad existed. i may have looked into the rusty's kit or held out for bj's kit.

by the way, if you order a superlift, make sure they send the correct ubolts. they sent the wrong ubolts for the front pumpken side. but, after calling superlift, they sent me the correct ubolts next day air.
