I'm getting ready to order a new radiator and wondered if a 4 row was really needed? I have an 84 GW with 360/727. Vehicle will be used 99 percent of the time in the winter months, with occasional trailer tow. Thanks for any help! This board has been great to me so far.....everyone very helpful.

Check the most recent threads. There is an interesting theory that a 3 core is just as good as a 4 because it has rows that are larger than the 4 core. I don't know if this is a fact or not, but I have seen replies here from people who got little or no improvement by moving up to 4 cores. I will be sticking with my 3 core which is working very well at present.

I had both...a three core and a four core...didn't notice much difference except when I was stuck in traffic with ac on. (AZ gets up to 120 in the summer) ultimately, I went with the four core and put a 12 inch, thermostat controlled, electric pusher fan on the front. Now I never worry about overheating. But, the most critical part I found was having a good fan shroud and a new fan clutch. Make sure your using the right mixture of distilled water/antifreeze for your climate.
