i'm considering putting a full time qt back in and was wondering if having the tru trac in front will cause a problem
Sho nufff you'll have prollems (but the extent of them depends on your tolerance for poor on-road handling) ;) ....there's been about 1.5 million posts on front lockers with QT tho, so I won't bore you with the details...try searching through the threads....there have been several in the last few days even!
Wait a minute...Trutrac IS a locker right? Or is it limited slip...I would think the prollems with a limited slip would be minimal int he front of a FT T-case.

I read ( yes! I CAN read) in one of the mgazines about running a true-track in the front of a QT vehicle and they had no trouble at all. FWIW

please excuse my ignorance but, i believe the tru trac is somewhere between a locker and a limited slip, it is not a full on locker, but something more suitable for front ends, so i'm hoping it would not be to hard on the full time qt if i end up going that way, this is not a daily driver so some bit of poor handling on the street is acceptable, just don't want to put too much undo strain on the transfer case and i am planning to drive it on the highway ocasionally like to ouray and back, after that only as needed to get to trails, i realize this has probably already been covered, if not beaten to death but i've not been keeping up with things as i should, so i may have missed some of the previous posts

I will say this...I have detroits F&R... with the front end locked in....it is VERY difficult to steer on pavement with throttle applied (tried it cuz I never experienced it). I wouldn't recommend ANY traction device for the F/T case...it may engage at the most inopertuned time and things could get ugly...
The reaction of the detroit I'm sure is MUCH harsher than that of the LSD, but I think the result would be the same to a point. Coasting into a corner was fine... once the throttle was pressed to exit the corner, she locked and wanted to go straight and I had to fight it with wheels chirping...this was at a VERY slow speed... not even comparable to a 90 degree city corner on a green light. MUCH slower.
I say don't do it...for safety reasons in mind
