two fuel filters stock?

is that another fuel filter hooked up to my charcoal canister? if not what is it?

That is called a "liquid trap"; it basically prevents fuel from sloshing out the carb and into the evap canister.

Jeep gives it a part #33001586, which is different from the part # they give for the fuel-filter, which unfortunately comes as a complete kit with replacement hoses and clamps.

So, while it looks like a fuel-filter, I have no idea whether you could simply replace it with a fuel-filter.

Sorry to bump a 7 year old thread, but this link came up when I searched the OE # online...anyone know where to get one of these?

It looks original which probably means it's due for a change...and since I'm trying to replace everything else in the engine bay that needs to be, I'd like to find a replacement for this.
