Just installed the FC1000 (Cheapest Capacitive Discharge Multi-Spark Box I could find). It is AWESOME. I just got the cheapest plugs and put a .045 gap on them and shuved them in. Now this thing pulls HARD and doesn't stutter at all when run cold. It took all of 30 minutes to mount the thing (on the right fender right next to the AC sight glass, just aft of the battery), tailor the leads and plug it in, and romp. I used plug connectors in case the thing crapped out, it will take about thirty seconds to plug the stock ignition box back in. It was cheaper than the MSD 6A at Summit and they had it to me in two days.
I also have started playing w/ Crane's adjustable distributor vacuum can and weight set. Hope that helps some too.
For those that have done the TFI upgrade, this Jacobs piece is the logical next step. I highly recommend it. I'm now looking for one for my cycle.
