I have done a 4" SkyJacker lift on my 89 Wagon. Put 33x12.5 on 10 wheels on and knew before hand that additional lift was going to be needed to prevent ALL wheel rub.
I have no wheel run on the front, at least where I am using this vehicle. No I am not rock climbing or anything that extreme.
My Question is other than doing a body lift, what are your thoughts on just putting air shocks on the rear and when additional lift is needed for the trail, just pump it up?

I have monroe air shocks on the rear, they work well to level a heavy load or a heavy trailer. The ride is stiff and when I hit a set of RR tracks too fast and have them aired up enough for an inch of lift, they launch the truck. They work great for my application on the street, but I would never off road the truck with them pumped up enough to get lift.
