My ignition solenoid quit today, so i yanked one
from the parts rig. When comparing it to the
new one in the garage, i noticed that the
terminals were different. Here's what I know:
Battery in (big terminal)
Switched out (big terminal to starter)
Switched power (one little one, fires starter)
Another terminal ??(next to switched, green wire)
Little terminal on bottom ?? (black wire)
What do those other two do??
the new solenoid doesn't have the little terminal
on teh bottom. My 81 wag has the wire, but
a replacement solenoid, so teh wire is just
sitting there, not plugged in, but it runs??
Anybody who knows what these wires do, please
let us know, because i don't really want to decipher
teh whole underhood harness.
Thanks,
Scott
