What seats have you guys used to replace ours? I don't like how the seats just go like _/ and can't be adjusted. I would like to get some maybe from a wrecked car but one that would fit the same wholes i have now. This is not a requirement though. So what have yall used? New or otherwise.

I'm using 86/87 (can't remember now) Mustang seats. They ALMOST bolted up (would have required clearancing one of the holes to mount the sliders to the base. I love em, adjustable side/knee bolsters, power lumbar (tho i haven't wired that in yet, 50amp breaker!!!) nice seats! Great for off-roading, they keep you nice n snug in place, no sliding around all-over!

Good post. I've heard some input on this before, but it's not always clear. I have thought of replacing at least the one seat in my '78 J10(doesn't flip forward), but both if I knew of a GREAT bolt in setup!
Plus...got an inquiry from my site recently on this very issue. This guy has an '83 FSJ(not sure what model) and wants to replace his seats, so let us know "any" good options and we'll all know(and I can reply to this guy with better info!). I'll swing him this way once I get this reply posted! http://www.ifsja.org/ubb/smile.gif
Thanks for any input on this!

I've got 6 way power with lumbar leather seats out of an Eddie Bauer Exploder. Makes that old Jeep a little nicer to sit in all day.

I have Lincoln Towne car leather buckets that are like sitting in a recliner. The easiest would be the Escort/Mustang/Tempo/Taurus seats as they are almost a direct bolt in. The Lincolns took a couple hours of work.
